In the spring of 2007 Judson Morgan and Kelly Overton went missing. They were found a few weeks later holed-up in an apartment in Hell’s Kitchen, living off of caffeine and take-out. They were almost finished with their first collaboration, a screenplay called The Collective.

Once the script was finished, it quickly took on a life of its own. The cameras were rolling before anyone had time to say it couldn’t be done. From start to finish, The Collective has been in every sense, a collaboration. Without the small core who believed in the project and gave everything to make it happen, it could never have become a reality. Shot entirely on location in NYC, The Collective started as an idea, became an experiment, and now...a film.

Being a grassroots, independent project, we are excited that you’re here to check out the official website. Take a look around, visit our actors IMDB pages, check out our lovely friends, RUE ROYALE, whose music we depend on so much in the film. I think you’ll love the song we’ve posted, check it out, and you could visit their website(s) too. They’re the next big thing, no doubt.

The goal is to get this unique film into a THEATER NEAR YOU. The first step is to hit the film festival circuit. We are proud to announce that we won the AUDIENCE AWARD at this years Brooklyn International Film Festival and have been winning many awards since.

We’d love to have you join us on MYSPACE and you can even add our trailer to your page, your blog, your youtube channel, webpage of any kind. You probably have a lot more friends than we do, real and electronic, so we’d love for them to see the trailer...and be in the loop when the film is playing near them. I will place the code below, use this to embed the trailer on your site, copy and paste away.

A highly captivating piece of film work that is both intellectual and visually compelling.     --horrornews.net

The film's great strength is capturing the sense of alienation felt when alone in New York—the menace beneath the bright lights.         -j.b.spins.com

The ravishing Kelly Overton is captivating.             –LAist.com
